Check to see if the company is in the yellow pages and has a business phone number and address.  They should have nothing to hide.

Look to the BBB (613-237-4856) who only list established companies.  If the company is not there, then it is a new business. If they are, only then will a rating on the company’s performance be shown and the actual year they were established.

Ask the company to show liability insurance.  This is very important if someone is injured or property damaged during the roofing process. The customer may be left responsible.

Ask to see proof of WSIB coverage.

Get written quote with a HST # on it. If the company is not registered with HST, do not accept their services They are required to be register with HST
